Phyllis J. Glines

On July 4th at the age of 93, Phyllis Jean Glines peacefully returned to her heavenly home to be with the Lord. Her devotion to her family and her belief in God supported her in her last days and ultimately gave her peace. Phyllis was born in Chico, CA to the late Roland and Mabel McFall, January 6 th, 1925 and preceded in death by her brother Phil and sister Betty. After graduating from Chico High School, she went on to get her degree from the Bible Institute of Los Angeles and retired from her career at the County of Sonoma. Phyllis' dedication to her Christian faith allowed her to be fully committed throughout her lifetime thus giving her the strength to lead and guide others. She loved sharing her stories of faith as well as inviting family and friends to her church. She enjoyed weekly bible studies in her home and singing in the church choir. Phyllis had many talents and hobbies. Her love of sewing allowed her to share her many creations with her family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling, cooking and redecorating. Every project she touched displayed her true talent and abilities, including an excellent seamstress. She had the most generous loving heart and touched many lives with her presence. The love of her life was her family; she adored spending time with her grandchildren and great grand children. Phyllis had a tender touch and will be dearly missed by all she came in touch with. Phyllis is survived by her loving husband, Robert; her children Susan and Greg, her daughter in law, Pat Lewis, her step children, Cindy, Jari, Judy and Kevin. Nieces, nephews and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will commence at Brusie Funeral Home, 626 Broadway St., Chico,CA at 11:00 am on July 13, 2018, reception will follow immediately.
