Reed Wilson Wold

Reed was born Dec. 6, 1956 to Roger and Virginia in Webster City, Iowa. He loved growing up in the Naden addition and working summers on his uncles farms. After many moves he ended up in Chico, California where he graduated high school in 1975. Reed attended Iowa State University and was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He only lasted a couple years because his high school sweetheart, drew him back to California. He married Terry McCurdy in 1979 and had 3 children, John, Brooke and Devin. Reed spent most of his career at Box Bros. Nursery. He loved landscaping, gardening and being out in nature. He was also an Eagle Scout and enjoyed back packing and camping. He loved his animals and called them his "kids". Reed's first friend, Nancy Buell called him goofy. He loved to make up and tell stories with strange noises and weird sound effects. Reed was with his loving partner, Maureen over the last 22years. They enjoyed their home in Magalia, working on yard projects together and taking in the beauty of the area. They survived the Camp Fire in 2018 which was quite a devastating experience. Reed is preceded in death by his father, Roger and first wife Terry. He is survived by his mother, Virginia, partner Maureen, sister Mary Anne, brother Brian, his 3 kids, and 4 grandchildren.
