Robert Swanson

ROBERT "BUD" SWANSON Robert "Bud" Swanson ,88, of Chico passed away April 6th 2015. Born August 8, 1926 in Chico he was the youngest of 7 kids of Gus and Wendalla Swanson. Bud joined the Navy after graduating high school where he served in WWII for 7 years when he returned home to care for his mother after his fathers death. He started his own logging business then went to work for Petroleum Tank Lines for 12 years. He went to finish his career out working for Jim Dias Trucking as a truck driver/mechanic and retired in 1999. He leaves his wife Joan (Millard) of 53 years, his son Shane (Tammy) Swanson, Chico, Daughters, Shari (Al) Daugherty of Alaska, Cindora (JD), Ja-key, and Julie (Sam) Robinson of Chico, his sister Dorothy Trimble of Lincoln. Bud also leaves behind 13 Grandkids, 22 great-grandkids and 1 great-great grandkid expected to arrive July. He also leaves many long time friends and best friend Smokey (dog). He was predeceased in death by his two daughters Joanne (5) and Stephanie (22). Viewing will be held April 21st 9-11 at Brusie Funeral Home with a graveside service at 1:00 at Glen Oaks Memorial Park, Pot luck to follow at Eagles Hall 2-5.
