Robert Thayer

Robert Sylvester Thayer passed away in Homer, Alaska on July 23, 2008. He was 74 years old. He was born in Chicago, Illinois February 1, 1934 to Sylvester and Elizabeth Thayer. Robert served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He moved with his family to Chico in 1966. Bob loved hunting, and fishing. He is survived by two sisters and five brothers; five children, Robin Harvey of Medford, Oregon, Tim Thayer of Middleton, Idaho, Robert Thayer of Paradise, CA , Anita Royal of Butte Valley, CA and Tina Smith of Chico, CA, and many grandchilden, nieces, and nephews. A graveside Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 15, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. at Chico Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Brusie Funeral Home in Chico.
