Roger Dale Rix

ROGER RIX On Tuesday, December 15, 2015, Roger Dale Rix, age 77 passed away peacefully at home with his family. Born July 16, 1938, in Oakland California to Emmett and Agnes Rix. Roger grew up in Paradise and was in the last graduating class at Chico High before Paradise High was built. He retired from the United States Navy in 1976 and worked as an electronics technician at Shasta Dam. Roger was a Jack of all trades and could fix or build practically anything. He built a camper from the ground up that the family enjoyed many trips in. Roger is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda Lee Rix; three children, Celeste Rix, Doug Rix, Jason Rix; two step children, Steve Joseph, Sandra Joseph; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and brother; David Rix and family. Though he is loved and missed, treasured memories of him will sustain us. Rest well, sweet man. Interment will be at Glen Oaks Memorial Park on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. with full Military honors. In lieu of flowers contributions to Veterans Resources Service, American Legion in Durham, would be welcome.
