A family gathering will be held for Ruth Mary Rardin, 87 of Chico. She passed away Dec. 25, 2010 in Chico.
Ruth was born Dec. 28, 1922 in Paris, Illinois. She grew up in Paris, and graduated from Paris High School in 1941. In 1944 she married her high school sweetheart, William Rardin, in Paris, Illinois. While Bill was in the military, they moved around the country quite a bit. In 1965 they moved to Chico. Ruth was an avid bowler, excellent seamstress and cook. According to her grandchildren she was the best grandma ever!!
Her survivors include her husband, Bill of Chico; two children, Carol McKinnon of Paradise and Dale Rardin of La Crescenta; three grandchildren, Karin Gassaway, Leslie Anderson and Kelcey Rardin; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Rardin in 1981.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Brusie Funeral Home.
