Private family services for Sempre Martin, 97 of Chico, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2010. Sempre passed away peacefully on May 5, 2010 at Enloe Hospital. She was born in Spain on August 22, 1912. Sempre is survived by a brother, John Romero of Santa Rose, CA; a sister, Ann Lucena of Chico, a sister, Josephine Ruggles of San Jose, CA, sister-in -laws, Isabelle Hovey of Chico and Clara Enrick of Sacramento, CA, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Vincent Martin, sister, Rose Romero, brother, Harold Romero, brother, Chris Romero, and sisters, Margaret Romero, and Delores Lucena.
