d. Jan 1, 2001

TERENCE "TERRY" JOHN HUITT A Rosary will be held November 6th at 7:30 pm and a Mass will take place November 7th, at 1 pm for Terence 'Terry" John Huitt. Both services will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Chico. Terry was born to Dennis and Patricia Huitt at Kingston Upon Hull, East Yorkshire, England. He attended local schools and upon completion of his education began his profession as a farmer of field crops and animals. In the time that he could get away from his work, he loved to engage in his passion for fishing. He competed in fishing matches in England and often won. It was love at first sight when Terry met his future wife Marie. Terry moved to the United States and married Marie Bordin on October 30, 1999. The couple celebrated their first anniversary with the birth of their first child, Joseph. Terry was a devoted and loving husband and father to his three children. He actively engaged in the lives of his children through his volunteer work at their school and through his support of their many extracurricular activities. Hard work and long hours were a normal routine. He farmed almonds, operated the family farmer's market stand throughout the region, and traveled throughout the state selling their flavored almonds at Harvest Festivals. Terry was much loved by his customers and those who worked with him. His constant smile, easy laugh, the glint in his eye and dry sense of humor were his. trademarks. An avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers, Terry often took his family to attend games. He enjoyed family trips to Disneyland and Hawaii. In particular, Terry enjoyed the opportunities he had to bring his wife and children back to England to visit family and see where he had grown up, When he could get away, Terry loved to fish at Fort Bragg for salmon and Eagle Lake for trout. Terry was a kind and gentle man. He enjoyed telling and hearing a good story, cooking, and bar-B-cuing for family and friends. He was very proud of his Yorkshire heritage. Terry's favorite times were working In the library and taking his children on every field trip at Notre Dame School. He loved going on camp outs and fishing with his son, especially to Camp Lassen with the Cub Scouts. Terry is survived by his wife Marie Bordin-Huitt, his children Joseph, Emily and Marie, and his mother Patricia of Sunk Island, England. Terry was preceded in death by his father Dennis. We Love you Da Da Forever, Ma Ma, Joseph, Emily and Little Marie. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's. Research Hospital, care of Notre Dame School, 435 Chestnut Street, Chico.
