Thomas Michael "Mike " Buxton A celebration of the life of Thomas "Mike" Buxton 68 of Chico will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Family Life Church, 13495 Garner Ln. in Chico. Mike passed away on December 18, 2016 in San Andreas, Ca. He was born on May 31,1948 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to John W. and Cecelia M. Buxton. His education includes Community College of the Air Force. He retired as a SMSGT in the Air Force. On October 10,1970, he married his Wife Anita J. Mike later retired from CUSD Supply Dept. His memberships include {AFSA} Air Force Sergeants Assn, {NCGA} Nor Cal Golf Assn, Tuscan Ridge Men's Club, Men's Prayer and Fellowship Group, Family Life Church. Saved through faith in Jesus Christ, loved to spend time with family and friends and will be remembered for his faith, integrity, gentle kindness, and zeal for life. He shared his enthusiasm of travel, books, golf, nature, fishing and cars with everyone blessed enough to know him. Mike is survived by his wife Anita J. Buxton of Chico, sons Thomas M. Buxton II of Chico, and Jeremy W. Buxton of Shasta Lake, Ca. grandsons Christian A. Buxton of Douglas, WY. Gabriel T. Buxton and Colin R. Buxton. A brother Sidney P. Buxton of New Orleans, LA. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. at Bidwell Chapel. 341 W. 3rd St. Chico .Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Family Life Church in care of Brusie Funeral Home.
