Virginia Kermen

Virginia Antoinette Kermen, 93, passed away May 14, 2010 in Chico. Virginia was born to Mike and Mary Cichirillo in Los Angeles, CA on October 17, 1916. Her husband, Dr. William Kermen preceded her in death in 1994. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Stoffel of Hemet, CA, and two sons, Mike of Chico and Robert of Durham. Virginia had nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren who were the joy of her life. After moving to Chico in 1974, Virginia was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where she was active in the Relief Society, Notre Dame Guild, and the Altar Society. She taught folk dancing for many years at Notre Dame School. Virginia's special place was her cabin at Jonesville where she had many friends. She was an accomplished artist and gardener and was known far and wide for her culinary skills. Services will be held at St. John the Baptist Church at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2010. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Notre Dame Catholic School.
