Virginia Lee Luttman
Jan 3, 1928 — Nov 22, 2020
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Virginia Lee Luttman, our loving and devoted wife, mother, great-great-grandmother, and friend to all whose lives she touched, on Sunday, November 22nd, 2020. She left us while sleeping peacefully at her residence in Chico, CA with her daughter and caregiver Deana by her side in her 92nd year.
Born on January 3rd, 1928 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, to parents Fred & Pearl Callison, Virginia was the middle child of 9, with 5 brothers and 3 sisters. At the age of 16 her family moved to Lemon Cove, CA by way of Exeter. Here she met her loving husband Lonnie Dean Luttman whom she married in October of 1947. They moved to Corning, CA and finally settled in Chico, CA in 1965 where she resided for 56 years working for Continental Nut and Tenco for 15+ years followed by a long career with Lifetouch which she retired from in 1997.
Throughout her life Virginia was an accomplished seamstress, cake decorator and loved partaking in many hobbies and crafts. She was also greatly interested in her family's genealogy and traveled as far as Ireland collecting information about her family's ancestry and heritage.
Virginia is survived by and was the beloved mother of Phyllis McCrae (Larry), Deana Luttman, and Julie Rodriguez (Chris), the proud grandmother to seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild along with a considerably sizeable extended family. She was preceded in passing by her devoted husband Lonnie Luttman, son-in law Charles Pollack, grandson Kurt Pollack and great-grandson Mayson Millhorn.
Virginia lived a full and happy life and will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.A celebration of Virginia's life will be held at Glen Oaks Memorial Park, 11115 Midway, Chico, CA 95928 on Tuesday, December 8th, 2020 beginning at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers and with respect to Virginia's consummate charitable nature, donations made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her name would be most appreciated. Online condolences may be expressed through www.Brusiefh.com.
