VIRGINIA SUE MITCHELL A graveside service will be held for Virginia Sue Mitchell, 73, of Berry Creek, on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Glen Oaks Memorial Park in Chico. She passed away on Thursday, February 19 at her home after a three year battle with cancer. Virginia was born November 21, 1941 in Van Buren, Arkansas. On November 18, 1988 she married Ancil Mitchell at Lake Tahoe. Virginia and Ancil served as foster parents in Butte County for twenty years. She loved cooking, sewing, music, gardening and reading the Bible. Her survivors include her husband Ancil; one sister Delores; children, Deborah, Gary, Gigi, Lee and Julie; grandchildren, Derek, Kira, Blake, Justin, Carrie, April and Kaylee. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Paradise Hospice or the Cancer Infusion Center in care of the Brusie Funeral Home.
