William Ronald Prouty, Sr. August 4, 1939 - June 12, 2016 Lifelong Chico resident "Bill" Prouty passed Sunday, June 12 due to CHF. Survived by his daughters Anissa Nicole Yokum and Candace Ford, a stepdaughter Christine Prouty, a son William Jr. His brothers, Dan H. Prouty, John Rossi, Joseph Blow & a sister Willie Ann Heyl. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A truck driver by trade he enjoyed cars as a hobby. Creative with heart, hands and mind. He could rebuild or repurpose most anything. Who in Bill's presence didn't enjoy his storytelling abilities? You were the spark Bill, we will miss you. Please join the family for a celebration of life at the 5 Mile Picnic Area Tuesday, July 12 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Butte County Humane Society in care of Brusie Funeral Home.
