William Tilden
d. Jan 1, 2001
Willliam F. Tilden, D.D.S., F.A.C.D., F.I.C.D., passed away peacefully in Chico on April 7, 2011, at the age of 88.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pauline, and children, Fred and Lynn. He and his previous wife, Muriel celebrated 55 years of marriage before she passed in 2002.
A many of many talents and gifted, he practiced and taught Dentistry at UOP Dental School in San Francisco, while raising his family. His contributions to Dentistry were honored by receiving Fellowship in both the American and International College of Dentists. Retiring to Paradise, he and Muriel enjoyed many years of world travel and Rving with the Chico Elks Lodge members. He was proud to be a 60 year Mason and of his WWII service as a Naval Officer in the Dental Corps on the USS Grand Canyon.
He was joyous, genuine, and enthusiastic. Fishing and jewelry making were two of his many passions and he loved his creative hobbies. He enjoyed a full life, was proud of his children's accomplishments, and was especially grateful for being given a second chance to love, by being married to Pauline Fizer.
Memorial Services will be held at Brusie Funeral Home in Chico on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.
