Alan "A.J." Stephenson
Sep 25, 1985 — Dec 23, 2017
Alan Stephenson Jr. known to many as AJ passed away unexpected on December 23, 2017 in Eureka, CA. AJ was born on September 25, 1985 in Coos Bay Oregon and attended Molalla Highschool, after high school he moved to Humboldt County where he met Dalila and had his 3 beautiful children Alan lll, Daniel and Marissa. His children were his pride and Joy and he would always talk about them and wanted to be near them, AJ loved his children and was always happy to spend time with them. AJ also considered Armando and Esmeralda his children and they both held a special place in his heart. AJ loved working alongside Mike Brown doing electric work, he also loved giving his friends a lending hand when needed, AJ had a heart of gold and he was always willing to help his family, friends and neighbors. Even though AJ was a private person he also had a fun and loving side of him, you could always find him cracking jokes and eating sweets with his family and friends. AJ made friends where ever he went and he was loyal to them, anytime there was a need AJ would help, I can’t say enough what a fun, loving and caring person AJ was, he would give you the shirt off his back or his last dollar. In recent months AJ was starting to find himself and getting back to where his roots come from, AJ was a member of the Wiyot Tribe and was proud of his Native side. AJ loved his father Alan Sr. and thought highly of him and there was nothing but respect for him, they shared a special bond that could not be broken. AJ survived by his children Alan lll, Daniel, Marissa, Armando and Esmeralda. He also leaves behind his parents: Alan Stephenson Sr. and Marie Brunner. Siblings: Lisa, Aaron and Hallister. Nieces and Nephews: Hayden, Alvaro, Maya, Roman, Stellah, Landon and Levi. His Extended family includes his Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins too many to mention, just know each and everyone of you he loved and touched his life in some way or another. AJ was preceded in death by his grandparents: George & Vera Stephenson, Kathleen Pullis and Charlie Brunner. AJ was a beloved son, brother and father who will be missed by many and will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
