Catherine "Kit" Sisul

Catherine (Kit) Sisul left this earth September 20, 2015, at the age of 89. She was born in Fresno, CA and raised in San Diego, CA. Kit married Andrew (Joe) Sisul 1/19/45, they were married for 57 years. She owned and operated Sisul's Day Nursery in Portland from 1951-1946, where she took care of up to 25 Pre-Schooler's at a time by herself before moving to Canby in 1956 where she and Joe built, operated/owned Frontier Golf on Holly Street. The built, operated and owned High rocks Pub in Gladstone from 1978 to 1990. After Joe's passing 2002, Kit became a resident of Hope Village from 2003-present. Kit is survived by her sister's Marian Olson and Betty Nelson; sons: Bill (Nita), Tom (Peg), Bob, Pat (Stephanie), 8 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, September 24, at Canby Funeral Chapel at 11:00 AM with a reception to follow at Canby Bethany Church.
