E. Ray Hooley

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 7 at Zion Mennonite Church, in Hubbard, for Ray Hooley of Canby, Oregon, who died March 29. He was 80. A reception will follow the service. Ray Hooley, 80, died March 29, 2012. Ray was born Nov. 24, 1931, in Hubbard to Alvin and Elsie Hooley. He married Barbara Heyerly, July 22, 1951, in Albany, Oregon. He attended Whiskey Hill Grade School, Canby High School, and Heston Academy in Kansas. He was President and CEO of Fircrest Farms based in Creswell, Oregon for over 25 years. He also traveled extensively worldwide as a consultant and design engineer in the poultry industry. Ray was a member of the Zion Mennonite Church. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Mike Hooley of Elkhart, Indiana and Doug Hooley of Dexter; a daughter, Sally Burge of Eugene; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
