Evelyn Dolores Peter

Evelyn Dolores Peter died May 26, 2018 at Countryside Living in Canby, Oregon. She was 95. She was born on March 17, 1923 in Canby, Oregon to Isador V. and Stella (Sandsness) Bany at the family farm on Township Road, Canby. She was baptized at Zoar Lutheran Church in Canby. She was married to Lester C. Peter on October 12, 1941 and was married for 74 years until his death in 2016. She is survived by daughter Charlene and son-in-law Lawson Roberts, son L. Thomas and daughter-in-law Sylvia Peter, son Ernest Peter, 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed sewing, cooking, and gardening. A member of Christ Lutheran Church in Aurora, she sang in the choir for many years. A memorial service will be held at Christ Lutheran Chuch, Aurora, Oregon on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 11:00 am, followed by a luncheon in the church fellowship hall.
