Florence E. Sandberg

Florence E. Sandberg, 91; born October 11, 1922 in Garibaldi, Oregon. Passed from this life on Thursday May 22, 2014 from age related issues. Florence lived in Garibaldi as a young girl and later moved to Oregon City where she attended school and graduated from Oregon city High School. She married Chester (Chet) sandberg in 1945; he preceded her in death in 1987. Her paents, Daniel and Pearl Staples also preceded her passing in 1981. Florence is survived by her 4 children: Susan Phillips-Herigstad (Paul) of Valley City, California; Daniel (Rory) of Canby, Oregon; Lindell (Louise) of Mulino, Oregon, and Gary (Renate) of Elk River, MN; as well as 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and other family members. Florence lived most of her life in the Canby-Beavercreek-Oregon City areas. She worked for 30 years for Tektronix in Beaverton until her retirement. Florence was a member of the Aurora Presbyterian Church. Graveside services will be held at Canby Zion Memorial Cemetery on Tuesday May 27 at 1:00 PM.
