Gilberto "Api" Corona Godinez died Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the age of 88 in Oregon City, Oregon. Gilberto Corona Godinez was born in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Mexico, to Severiano Aulalia and Eualia (Corona) Godinez. He served in the Mexican Military. He was married to Luisa (Zarate) Godinez. He was a rancher in the agriculture business. A Mass was done at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Friday, February 14, 2014 at 1 pm, followed by burial at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery Canby, Oregon. Fr. Rory and Fr. Munsel concelebrated the Mass and burial. Sons and Daughters: Gil Godinez, Enelia Godinez-Rocha, Maria Diaz, Lupe Shaw, Maggie Godinez, Teresa Godinez, Lourdes Welcon, Estee Godinez, Joe Godinez, John Godinez (deceased); 24 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
