James Baer

Aurora resident for the past 42 years, James Baer, age 70, died at his home on Tuesday, May 5. A visitation will be held at Canby Funeral Chapel between 5pm and 7pm on Sunday, May 10. The funeral will be on Monday, May 11 at 10:30am at Zoar Lutheran Church in Canby, with Pastor Nick Doversberger officiating. The burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sherwood. James Baer was born in Bright,Ontario,Canada on July 27, 1944. He grew up on farms in Manitoba, North Dakota,Georgia, and Minnesota, before moving to Oregon to marry Renee Brosowske on December 21, 1963. Surviving James is his wife – Renee Baer, Aurora; 3 daughters – Michelle Baer, Tigard, Kris Rule, Wilsonville, and Debra Baer, Canby; 6 grandchildren – Levi, Kendra, Kara, Camille, Ella, and James; 3 sisters – Ruth Baer Lambach, Miriam Baer, and Naomi Baer; and 9 brothers – Moses, Mark, Zenas, Amon, Amos, Joel, Jona, Elam, and Eden. Proceeding James in death were his parents Allan and Edna Baer, a brother Luke, and a sister Myrtle. James was loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
