Jan William O'Connor

Jan W. O'Connor, 79, or Canby, died July 10, 2012, at Hopewell House in Portland. He was born September 9, 1932, in Santa Monica, California to James W. and Marquerite O'Connor. He attended Alameda High School and San Jose University. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. On June 14, 1958, he married Lorraine Wayrynen in Los Gatos, California Jan was a member of Zoar Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Lorraine; son, Douglas of Oregon City, daughter, Amy Heffner of Aptos, California and three grandchildren. His son Kevin preceded him in death. A service was held Monday, July 16, at 11:00 am at Zoar Lutheran Church with the Rev. Nick Doversberger officiating.
