Jeannine was born on March 13,1945. She was the daughter of Claude and Pearl Brumley of Greeley, Colorado. Jeannine grew up in the Greeley/Ault Colorado area with one brother and two sisters on a cattle ranch. After graduating from High School, Jeannine married and had two boys, Duane and Dennis Schwartz. Jeannine moved to the Portland Area with her family and parents in 1969. She went to nursing School at GHS (known as OHSU) and graduated with her RN certificate in 1973. Jeannine spent most of her career serving others in the Portland area.
Jeannine was passionate about friendships and serving others no matter where she was in her life. She loved international travel, gardening, Octoberfest and living in Mt Angel. She also loved animals and owned several Cocker Spaniels during her lifetime. In her later years, she volunteered at Vacation Bible School at the Mennonite Church she attended in the Canby area and delivered meals weekly to needy seniors at Hope Village. Jeannine was known for her kindness, generosity and charitable spirit.
A service to honor and celebrate the life of Jeannine will be held at Lynchwood Church of God, on Thursday August 27th at 11:00am. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the Fireside Room at the church following the service. Flowers are welcome, however consider taking a friend to lunch and sharing The Gospel. Jeannine would love that!
