Jon Arlo Harris

Jon Arlo Harris passed away at the age of 68, May 23, 2012, in Aurora, Oregon. He was born, April 17, 1944 in Ventura, California to Arlo W. and Marguerite Harris. Jon graduated from Olympia High School in 1962. He earned an Associates degree from OIT in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He worked as a machinist, and then later began his construction career with the local Carpenter Union, that he retired from in 2006. Jon was an active volunteer for the Aurora Colony Historical Society, at both the museum, and the farm. Survivors include his son; Joseph Harris (Sarah) Cookeville, TN., Daughter; Samantha Alexander, (Chris) Hillsboro, OR. Brother; Michael Harris (Linda Gay), Camarillo, CA; sister; Ella Christensen (Steven), Kanosh, UT. Two (2) grandchildren; Briona & Alexandria, eight (8) nieces and nephews. There will be a Memorial Service for Jon on June 5, 2012, at 3:00 PM at the Old Aurora Colony Museum in Aurora, OR. Officiant will be Michael G. Harris.
