Jon Rees Haynes
May 20, 1959 — Sep 14, 2018
Jon Rees Haynes was born on May 20, 1959 and passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018. Jon was born in Walnut Creek, California to William Rees and Grace Haynes. He went to Acalanes High School in Lafayette, California and Diablo Valley Jr. College in Pleasant Hill, California, and moved to Canby, Oregon in 1993. He is a Mason and a member of the Aahmes Shrine Club in northern California. He enjoyed volunteering his time on the East West Shrine Game, a college bowl football game raising money for the Shriners Children's Hospital. He loved all sports and was an amazing baseball player, he was a walk on for the San Francisco Giants and made it to the very last cut. He was so close to making a dream come true. He was so proud of his yard and the hours he spent making it beautiful, he loved county music and dancing even though he was always in physical pain with his arthritis in his hip. He definitely got the award for the best BBQ plank salmon. He is preceded in death by his father William Rees and brother Conrad Larson. Jon is survived by spouse Joan, his sons, Joey, Johnny and Josh, and his daughter Jaden; all reside in Canby, Oregon; his sister Pamela Rogers of Palm Springs, California, his brother William (Moose), and sister Karen; both of Canby. Also, nieces Ashley and Kelsey, and nephew Clayton, plus extended family members, cousins and friends. He loved his family and many friends. He loved to make people laugh, and we all loved to see his big smile and that contagious laugh. We will always love him and his warm loving heart. Rest in Peace Jon
