Lynda Carol Shepherd
Nov 8, 1948 — Oct 17, 2026
Jesus was the center of her life, and her faith shaped the way she cared for others each day.
Lynda Carol Isom Shepherd, passed away on October 17, 2026, at the age of 77 after fighting a five-year battle with interstitial lung disease.
Born on November 8, 1948, Lynda will be remembered as a loving, funny, sweet, and at times ornery woman whose presence brought warmth and comfort to those around her. Jesus was the center of her life, and her faith shaped the way she cared for others each day. She prayed for everyone she met and shared Jesus with everyone she could, leaving a lasting impression through her kindness, conviction, and generous spirit.
Nothing brought Lynda greater joy than her family. Her children and grandchildren were her proudest accomplishment, and she treasured every opportunity to be with them. She loved her grandchildren deeply and made them a central part of her life, faithfully attending their events and cheering them on with pride. Her family will also remember the holidays she filled with love and abundance, always making too much food so that no one would leave her table without feeling cared for.
Lynda is survived by her son, Loren Shepherd; her daughter Lora Pittman and son-in-law, David Pittman; her grandchildren, Tenzin Shepherd Tam and Alan Tam; Riley, Caedmon, Liam, Shylah and Alayna Pittman. Each of them carries forward memories of her steadfast love, her laughter, her faith, and the special way she made family feel like life’s greatest blessing.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Isom; her mother, Margaret Niederle; and her sister, Joyce Partipillo.
Lynda’s life was a testament to devotion—to her faith, to her family, and to the people she welcomed into her heart. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
