Marciene Grace Lockwood
May 25, 1937 — Nov 9, 2020
Marciene Grace Lockwood or (Marcie) as everyone knew her, passed away on Monday, Nov. 9, 2020 at the age of 83. She is preceded in death by her parents, Vernona and Vincent Volz and her younger sister Janet Dahlke. She is survived by her sister Betty Mills, her 5 children, Laura DeGiovanni, Judy Wollseiffen, Troy Allen (Carla), Arlene Pipkin (Aaron) and Karen Snow (Gary). She has 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was the oldest of 3 girls and was born in Albany, Oregon. She grew up in the Tigard area, where she graduated from High School in 1955. She spent most of her adult life in the Beaverton area. She was involved in Boy and Girl Scouts and loved to go camping. She was involved in a CB group, square dancing and loved to sew, she made a lot of the dresses she wore to dance in. She also made a lot of her kid’s clothes as they grew up. She loved spending time with her family, traveling and collecting earrings and tigers. She drove a school bus for many years, then moved on to Tri-met where she retired after 20 years. She developed Alzheimer’s disease and eventually needed more assistance than her family could give her at home, and she was placed in an adult foster care home where she thrived for several years and was well taken care of by Estella Cross and her staff, but sadly succumbed to her disease.
