Patricia Ann White
Apr 1, 1930 — Nov 15, 2012
Patricia White, 82, died November 15, 2012 at her Milwaukie home after a long illness. She was born April 1, 1930 in Canby, Oregon to Dorothy and Mickey Weygandt. She attended Canby Grade School and was valedictorian of her eighth-grade graduating class. In 1948, she graduated from Canby High School where she was lead majorette and elected her senior year as May Day Crown Princess. On June 5, 1948, she married Lance White in Canby Methodist Church. She was a mother and homemaker in her early married years and then worked on the family farm in Monitor. After the farm was sold, she worked with her parents in the family's Western Fireworks business. After her parents retired in 1969, she and her husband continued the family fireworks buisness until they retired in 1984. She enjoyed traveling and vacationing in their motor home. Patricia also enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing and vactioning on the Oregon Coast. She was a member of Canby Methodist Church. Survivors include her two daughters, Janet Hostetler, of Mulino, and Judie Gobet of Oregon City; three granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren. At her wishes, the family will travel to Hawaii where her ashes will be cast into the sea off the coast of Maui to join her late husband. No formal service will be held.
