Russell Dale Devore

Russell DeVore, 49, of Canby, Oregon, died Wednesday, January 5th at his home. He had been battling cancer for two years. He was born February 2, 1961, in Grants Pass, the son of Dale and Sylvia DeVore. The family moved to Canby in 1964, and he graduated from Canby High School in 1979. On June 18 1983, he married Bobbie Cross in Salem. That same year, he graduated from Portland State University with a bachelor's degree. He earned his Masters degree at George Fox University in 2005. He had been director of academic computing at George Fox University for 11 years. Survivors include his wife and children, Kyle, Miranda, and Dayla DeVore. A funeral service was held January 12th, 2011 at Canby Christian Church. Memorial Contributions may be made to the George Fox Universtiy Art Department.
