Sylvia Jean Mactaggart Liss-Odgers

Sylvia Jean MacTaggart Liss-Odgers, 75, was born in Boston, Mass. On February 15, 1946 to John D. and Kathleen Avis Altmaier MacTaggart. She passed away on February 26, 2021 in Portland, Oregon. Sylvia was raised in Iowa City, IA and moved to Oregon in 1990. She lived in Goose Creek, SC for 18 years from 1972 to when she moved to Oregon in 1990. Sylvia went to school at City High in Iowa City, IA and in 1964 he attended the University of Iowa also in Iowa City, IA. Sylvia married Barry A Odgers in June of 1991 in Molalla, Oregon. She was a manager at a Consumer Research Firm. In her spare time Sylvia liked reading, rock collecting, gardening, doing stained glass and watching the British TV mystery series. Sylvia is survived by her spouse, Barry Odgers of Molalla; daughter, Jennifer Liss of Molalla; sons, Eric Liss of Molalla and Anthony Liss of Uncasville, CT; Brother, Robert MacTaggart of Cedar Rapids, IA; stepsons, David King of Vancouver, WA. And Michael Odgers of Anchorage, AK; and 18 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents John and Kathleen MacTaggart of Solon, IA and brother Philip MacTaggart. A celebration of life will be held at the Molalla Funeral Chapel (220 East Main Street, Molalla, OR) on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 11 am.
