Anthony Castillo
May 2, 1976 — Apr 12, 2013
Anthony Castillo Jr., 36, passed away on April 12, 2013, at Longmont United Hospital. He was born on May 02, 1976, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Anthony Castillo Sr. and Gloria (Cano) Castillo. In 2012, he moved to Longmont, Colorado.
Anthony was a very social person; he never knew a stranger. He was the first to help anyone who was in need and was often seen shoveling snow and caring for his neighbors. He was a sports fan and volunteered his time as a youth basketball coach at the Longmont YMCA. He was very charming but always had a prank in the works to play on his friends and family. Anthony was a proud and kind father as well as a protective and compassionate brother and son.
Anthony is survived by his father, Anthony (Cindy) of Kearney, Nebraska; his sister, Becky Castillo of Thornton; his half-sister, Sara (Dayd) Stauffer of Kearney; his step sister, Stacie (Leon) Pearson and family of Kearney; his step sister, Alyson (Shawn) Coffman and family of Ogallala, Nebraska; his son, Anthony Roman and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria, and all four grandparents.
A Rosary will take place at 6:00pm on May 2, 2013, at Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Home. The Memorial Mass will be 10:00am on May 3, 2013, also at Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Golden Cemetery.
Memorials are planned to the family to be designated at a later time.
