Billy Ansiel
Feb 10, 1930 — Dec 31, 2017
Billy Gene Ansiel, 87, of Longmont, Colorado, died Sunday, December 31, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Lafayette, Colorado. Billy passed peacefully into the arms of his Lord surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 28 years, Marjorie Ann Ansiel.
Billy is also survived by his four daughters, son-in-laws, and grandchildren: Debbie and Jay White; Dotty and Scott Ingham, their children David and Michael, David’s wife, Tori; Diana and Nacho Laviñeta, their children Tyler and Elena; Dana Jeffs, her children Kylie and Brandon.
In addition, he is survived by: Stepdaughter-in-law Deb Warren; her children Kerry Warren, Katie Warren-Smyth and husband Steve, Lindsay and Micheal Moore, and Lucas Warren and Racquel Reef; stepdaughter Cindy and Russ Moore; their children Josh and Desi Moore, Cody and Sarah Moore, Kaci and Charlie Gibson, and Madison Moore; and 17 great grandchildren.
Billy was born February 10, 1930 in Oklahoma to loving parents, Willie Franklin and Minnie Alice Ansiel. Billy is the third of 7 brothers who meant the world to him and have preceded him in death: Chester, Jack, Juel, Tommy, Raymond, and Ernie. He was also preceded in death by his beloved stepson Bud Warren.
Billy enlisted in the Air Force after high school in 1951 with an honorable discharge in 1955. Later, after moving to Fresno, California, Billy worked for the Department of Forestry for a number of years and eventually became a long-haul truck driver until his retirement in 1995. His diesel truck he retired from long-haul driving was one mile short of reaching one million miles driven.
During those years in Fresno, he worked and raised his four daughters with his first wife. Billy loved living out in the country with his family during those years where he enjoyed pheasant hunting on his back acreage, horseback riding and participating in roping events, fishing, country music, war time and country western movies. Movies starring John Wayne were definitely his favorites. Most weekends were spent with extended family where all Billy’s brothers would gather at his or his parents’ home to play Rook, Dominoes, or Pool while the wives chatted and cooked big meals, and the numerous cousins would play together outside.
Later in life, while hauling equipment cross country in 1989 for a famous rock band, Billy stopped in Longmont, Colorado. While there, he stopped in at the local Kmart for lunch and met a lovely woman employed there named Marjorie Warren who, when asked by Billy, told him where he could go for an evening of dancing which Billy loved to do. She agreed to meet him and brought along some friends, meeting Billy and his friend for a fun evening out. The rest is history. Billy and Marge were married February 9, 1990. They have continued to be loving companions since. Marge was by Billy’s side when he drew his last breath and left this Earth.
