Candace Rork
Oct 11, 1952 — Jul 16, 2014
Candace Rork, 61, was taken from us on July 16, 2014 after a brief illness. She was born Oct. 11, 1952 in Memphis, TN. Candace moved to Longmont, CO with her partner, Sue (Snoop) McSwain in 1990.
Candace was probably best known for her love of animals; not just her own but all animals. Her friends were her second great love. She was truly a believer of the old saying “If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours”. She was always flashing that beautiful smile that would warm the hearts of all who were on the receiving end. She loved her job as a debt collector at BC Services because their policy is: clients were people first and the fact that most of these people were in trouble because of catastrophic circumstances beyond their control was foremost, which she could relate with. This fit in well with her desire to help people in trouble. To those who knew Candace well, we know we are all better people for having shared that bright light of love that shown through her eyes and her smile. She was loved and will be sorely missed.
Candace was preceded in death by her mother Flora, father Raymond, and brother Joe. She is survived by her partner of 38 years, her sister Cyndy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of her life to share loving and happy memories will be held at Macintosh Lake, Saturday, Aug. 2nd from 12-2 in the pavilion by the playground.
Cremation has been entrusted to Carroll-Lewellen Funeral & Cremation Services.
