Donald Vynckier

October 30, 1935 — April 26, 2026

Donald “Don” Vynckier, age 90, of Fort Lupton, Colorado, passed away on April 26, 2026.

Don was born on October 30, 1935, in Parker, Colorado, to David and Esther Vynckier. In 1956, he married Nancy Vynckier, and together they welcomed two children, Shari and Brent. During these early years, Don began building his life’s work from the ground up, starting his first farming and dairy operations with determination, hard work, and very little to his name. Through long days and unwavering perseverance, he laid a foundation that would support his family and shape his lifelong dedication to agriculture.

He was a man of strong faith, deep integrity, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. Don proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, an experience that reflected his lifelong sense of honor and commitment.

After his service, Don continued to grow his agricultural work in Fort Lupton and the surrounding areas, a calling he embraced with pride and perseverance. He was known as a hardworking and dependable man who was always ready to help family, friends, and neighbors. His generosity, honesty, and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

In 1987, Don married the love of his life, Lois, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and community. They shared a love for traveling and creating lasting memories wherever they went, whether on the road or close to home. They enjoyed square dancing together and could often be found laughing and having fun at the casino, cherishing those joyful moments side by side. Don found his greatest happiness in the life they built together and in the time spent with Lois and their family, always taking pride in supporting and caring for those he loved.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lois; his daughter, Shari Mascarenas (Tom); his stepsons, Mike Zimbleman (Sokea), Doug Zimbleman (Susan), and Roger Zimbleman (Leesa); his grandchildren, Courtney Vynckier (Leon), Jake Zimbleman, Seth Zimbleman, Hok Hay, Long Hay, Hor Hay, and Kiana Zimbleman; and his great-grandchildren, Leon Jr. and Ruthie. He was preceded in death by his son, Brent, and his parents, David and Esther Vynckier.

Don will be remembered as a kind, loving, strong, and generous man with a wonderful sense of humor. He had a unique gift for making everyone he met feel welcome and valued. His life was a testament to faith, hard work, and devotion to family, friends, his farm, and his church.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church 701 Kimbark St. Longmont, Colorado.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice or the First Baptist Church.
