Dr. Aaron Stanley Gingrich

Aug 21, 1983 — Oct 4, 2026

Dr. Aaron Stanley Gingrich, 43, of Boulder, Colorado, passed away on October 4, 2026, alongside his beloved three-year-old daughter, Isabella Ruth Gingrich, in a tragic accident near Boulder.

Aaron was born on August 21, 1983, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Kevin Lloyd Gingrich and Tina Marie Gingrich. He grew up in Maryville, Illinois, alongside his three siblings, Nathanael, Sara, and Christian. From an early age, Aaron demonstrated a remarkable combination of intelligence, curiosity, athleticism, and enthusiasm for life. He participated in cross country, track, soccer, and football, played in the school band, and excelled academically. He graduated as valedictorian of Metro East Lutheran High School in Edwardsville, Illinois.

Aaron attended Valparaiso University before earning his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas in 2010. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City in 2013. He went on to build a career as an emergency medicine physician, practicing across the United States and internationally. He also served as an instructor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine.

Medicine was just one of Aaron's many passions. He possessed an adventurous spirit and an insatiable curiosity about the world. A pilot, world traveler, athlete, musician, and flying trapeze enthusiast, Aaron was never one to let life become ordinary. Whether exploring a new country, learning a new skill, or pursuing his next adventure, he embraced life with enthusiasm and an openness to new experiences. His interests brought him into contact with people from all walks of life and created friendships that spanned the globe.

For all his intelligence, accomplishments, and adventures, what truly distinguished Aaron was the way he treated others. He was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and inclusive, with a natural ability to bring people together. Aaron made a point of ensuring that no one felt left out. He welcomed newcomers, drew people into conversations, and made those around him feel comfortable and valued. His warmth, humor, and genuine interest in others allowed him to form lasting friendships wherever life took him.

Of all the roles Aaron held throughout his life, none was more precious to him than being a father to his daughter, Isabella Ruth, whom he affectionately called "Jelly Bean." Aaron adored Bella, and she was a tremendous source of love and happiness in his life. Their bond was a cherished part of who he was. Though their time together was heartbreakingly short, the love they shared will remain an enduring part of their family's memories.

Aaron is survived by his parents, Kevin and Tina Gingrich; his siblings, Nathanael Lloyd Gingrich, Sara Jean Cooper, and Christian Samuel Gingrich; and many loving relatives and friends throughout the United States and around the world. He was adored by his nephews, Eli, Isaac, and Micah. His beloved daughter, Isabella Ruth Gingrich, died alongside him.

The loss of Aaron and Bella leaves an immeasurable emptiness in the lives of those who loved them. Their lives, though far too short, were filled with love and meaningful connections that will endure in the hearts of family and friends.

Aaron will be remembered not only for the remarkable things he accomplished or the adventures he pursued, but for the way he made others feel: seen, welcomed, included, and loved.
