Erin Jensen

Erin Louise Jensen, 52, passed away on Friday August 25th at her home in Boulder Colorado. She was a daughter, a sister, and a mother. Her radiant smile, loving words, and gentle heart touched many lives, both human and non-human. She possessed an ability to connect with animals that was beyond what most of us experience. Erin was born Oct 9th 1964 to Clair and Patricia Jensen. Her early years were spent in the beautiful woods of northwestern Montana, where she developed a love for all creatures, great and small. After graduating from Flathead High School in 1983, she lived in Billings Montana, Denver, and ultimately southern California, where she worked as a crisis response/intake counselor for those seeking recovery from addiction. Her amazing capacity for empathy helped her touch the lives of those who struggled and needed direction. In 2008 she gave birth to her daughter Jazmyn, who became her greatest joy and purpose in life. She is survived by her mother Patricia Jensen, her daughter Jazmyn, her sister Lisa Nelson, her brothers Carter and Eric Jensen, and her nephew Zane Miller. Erin loved her animals so much that they deserve mention; Ebee, Hairy Pawter and Spencer miss her terribly. We do too. A celebration of her life will take place Friday, September 1 at Carroll-Lewellen funeral home in Longmont, Colorado at 1 pm.
