Ivan Kerwood

Tribute Ivan A. Kerwood, 74, of Longmont, Colorado, passed away Wednesday, October 23rd 2019 in Longmont, the town he raised his family in. Ivan is survived by his loving wife of 52 plus years and love of his life, Vickie Kerwood, his eldest son Chris Kerwood, his youngest son Dustin Kerwood, and family and friends too long to list. Born and raised in Fort Collins Colorado, the son of Lloyd and Ada Kerwood and the loving younger Brother to his older Sister Rosella. Ivan loved wood working and he did beautiful work. He had various projects that were given to family members throughout the years that they all will cherish. Ivan started his career at Ball Corporation in Boulder, Colorado, playing a role in the manufacture of parts used on the Apollo 11 space mission. He moved onto work at Kryptonics, Applied Films Corporation, VaporTech, ARC Wireless and Avaya. You always knew Ivan thought fondly of you if he gave you a little bit of a hard time. Nieces. Nephews and various waiters and waitresses from around town can attest to that. As Ivan’s sons grew up , he thoroughly supported all of their endeavors. He never missed one of Chris’ BMX races or Football games and never missed one of Dustin’s Baseball or Basketball games, ever. Graveside service will be held Friday, November 1st, 2019, 11:00 AM at Foothills Gardens of Memory with a Celebration of Life at Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Chapel in Longmont at 12:00 PM. Family is asking that in lieu of flowers any donations can be made to the American Heart Association in Ivan’s memory.
