Jill Rivoli
Sep 28, 1963 — Mar 20, 2015
Biography
Jill Ann (Green-Silva) Rivoli, age 51, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2015 in her home.
She was born September 28, 1963 in Gunnison, Colorado to James “Jimmy” Ralph Green and Nancy (Darrah) Martinez as their fourth child. She attended elementary, junior high, and high school in Boulder, Colorado. At the age of sixteen, she met the man who would become her first husband, Cruz Silva. Three years later, they married and together raised their three children, Adam, Vrianna, and Monet Silva.
Jill’s passion was caregiving; in addition to her lifelong career of motherhood (and, later, grandmotherhood), she enjoyed positions as a preschool teacher and a CNA (certified nursing assistant). Her greatest joy was in helping others.
In 1990, Jill met Sam Michael Rivoli, and after five years of friendship and, eventually, partnership, she joined him in Rochester, New York. Less than one year after that, they married, and remained happily so until her passing.
She is survived by her parents, husband, and three children; her sisters, Joelle Anderson, Kimberly Ackelson, and Sandy (Green) Huff; a brother, David Green; and three granddaughters, Jasmin Marie Silva, Lily Ann Silva, and Taylor Olivia Baker; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Michael Green.
