Jimmy Amen

Jimmy Eugene Amen, 63, of Firestone, CO, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015. Jimmy was born on October 6, 1951 in Sterling, CO, to Reinald and Ethel Amen. He served in the Army and was stationed in Germany from 1968 to 1971. Jimmy is survived by daughters Kelly Bettale and husband Brian of Dickinson, TX, Jenny Amen and husband Jamie Hillyer of Aurora, CO, Randi Amen of Scottsbluff, NE; sisters, Marge Frese, Dorreen Degenhart, Janie Beachler and Sharon Peterson; as well as six grandchildren. Special thanks to Janie, Ron and Steve who took Jim into their home and provided comfort and care through his last days. Jimmy was hard working, independent and generous and he will be missed by many. A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2015, Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Chapel, 503 Terry St., Longmont, CO.
