Julia Auger

Julia Mary Auger, 91, Greeley, CO, died Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Fairacres Manor in Greeley. CO. She was born Julia Mary Manchego, in Alamo, CO to Antonio and Sophia Manchego. Julia was an RN, she graduated in Denver, Co and worked in Alaska where she met her husband, Paul Maurice Joseph Auger. They married November 27, 1948. Julia's complete devotion to her husband and her family was surpassed only by her devotion to God and the Blessed virgin Mary. She and Paul had an adventurous spirit which took the family to live in 3 continents. Julia had a zest for life which included passions for golf, tennis, hiking, cooking and bridge. She was artistic and creative and excelled at painting and sculpture. She is survived by her three daughters, Kathy, Anita and Paulette; 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; brother Tony; sisters, Catherine and Cordelia. Julia is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Auger; grandson, Paul Salazar; brothers, Eloy, Dave and Joe; sisters, Dina, Martha and Theresa. A gathering will be begin at 5:30 pm before A Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Chapel. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, April 15, 2016 at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 3791 Pike Rd., Longmont, CO. Cremation has been entrusted to Carroll-Lewellen Funeral & Cremation Services.
