Kateri Traversie

Biography Kateri Ann Traversie passed away on February 16, 2014. She was born July 8, 1984 to Timothy and Laurie Traversie in Rapid City, South Dakota. She was the youngest of four children. Kateri was a bright, vivacious, and caring woman whose beauty radiated to the depths of her soul. Her presence could light up an entire room. Kateri's humor and wit made her the shining star of the family. Kateri was extremely dedicated to her family. She struggled to become a mother. When she was blessed with Brezlin, Kateri put her entire focus into being an incredible mother. Kateri lived a very active life style and enjoyed playing many sports. Kateri played competitive softball for several years with a pitch that was unstoppable. In her teens, Kateri played tennis for her high school team and spent many years teaching others the love for the sport. More recently, Kateri had started learning jiu jitsu and enjoyed spending time at her boyfriend Dan's training facility. After finding sobriety Kateri was active in drug and alcohol prevention programs. Kateri worked as a drug and alcohol educator going to local schools and educating students about drug and alcohol awareness. Her warmth and compassion made her an outstanding mentor and confidante. Kateri's love for fashion and beauty lead her to The Aveda Institute where she excelled as a student and a friend to many. Kateri touched every person's heart that she came in contact with and will greatly missed. Kateri is preceded in death by her husband Ryan Eller, her brothers Wyatt and Donovan Traversie, her grandma, and grandpas. Kateri is survived by her daughter Brezlin, her mother Laurie Railsback (Rick), her father Timothy Traversie. Her sisters Melissa Traversie and Crystal Bradley (Eric). Kateri had three nieces Mariah, Taylor, and Maddy and two nephews Morgan and Mason. Many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her loving boyfriend Daniel Bentz and his family. Kateri's mother-n-law Carolyn Eller and father-n-law Bob Eller. Her brother-n-laws, Tim (Amy), Mike, and Jeffery Eller. Her sister-n-law Sarah Eller, and many other family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30pm on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Belleview Community Chapel, 3455 W 83rd Avenue, Westminster, 80031.
