Kova Bosnich

d. Oct 26, 2014

In Loving Memory Kova Bosnich, 73, passed away gently and peacefully on Sunday, October 26, at New Dawn Memory Care in Aurora, CO. Kova, the youngest of ten children, was born in Drvar, Yugoslavia, on May 6th, 1941 to parents Milan and Zorka Babic. She made her way to the Chicago area in 1965 being three months pregnant, having married across political lines for love, only to have her husband tragically pass away with an infant in her hands, now finding herself in a new country, in a new family. As an infant, Kova herself bravely overcame WW2’s complications, so she continued with this inextinguishable will to live life to its fullest, and proudly raised her son, Marinko, as a single mom, working in the NW Indiana steel mills. Kova only remarried when her son moved off to college. Kova was a beautiful lady with a beautiful heart who never gave up on anything worth fighting for, touching many lives along her journey. In 2012, Kova moved to Berthoud, Colorado to live with her son and his family. It was the time in Kova’s test with Alzheimer’s where immediate family was the doctor’s orders. This is when Kova was at her most beautiful! She was very much an active, contributing member of the family, helping with dishes, laundry, even playing soccer with the kids at the nearby park. Her infectious spirit to live, laugh, and love was passionately evident, all the way to the end, smiling, winking, hugging, singing, even dancing in bed. It is no wonder that Kova’s adventurous spirit & drive to endlessly explore, extravagantly give, and relentlessly learn will go on living in those that survive her. May your memory remain until Eternity’s Kiss brings us back together again. Ti Si Ljepotica! Survivors: Beloved son and his wife Marinko & Dianne Bosnich, grandchildren Daniel, Katherine, Jonathan, and Elizabeth. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 1st 2014 at Grace Place Church in Berthoud. Interment will follow at Foothills Gardens of Memory.
