Mary Agnes Ioerger
Feb 13, 1946 — Feb 6, 2025
Mary Agnes Ayers-Ioerger, 78, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at UC Health Longmont, CO., the result of a stroke. Mary and her identical twin sister Margaret were born on February 13, 1964, in Easton, Minnesota to Gene and Theresa (Hassing) Ayers.
She graduated from Wells-Easton High School in 1964, and married Clyde Francis Ioerger on September 12, 1964, in Casper, Wyoming. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
After her marriage, Clyde and Mary briefly resided in Minnesota and Wyoming before settling in Longmont, Colorado in 1973. Mary worked at Gordons Mfg. and Albertsons. Among Mary's most creative talents was when she launched her own successful upholstery work for local customers. She was also a skillful seamstress and sewed many outfits for both herself and others.
Mary had a deep interest in health foods, holistic medicine and gardening. She would spend hours researching and studying herbs and vegetables in order to foster healthy eating habits. She often compounded vitamins and other herbs into pills, and she was eager to share both her elixirs and knowledge of remedies with others. She had a big heart for all who knew her and you never had to ask twice for help with anything.
Mary was a woman of faith and throughout her life read from her Bible while simultaneously studying the beliefs of many Christian religions.
Mary is survived by her husband Clyde Ioerger, Longmont, CO; son Todd (Vicky O'Hagen) Ioerger of Dacono, CO; granddaughter Raina Ioerger of Brush CO, 3 brothers: William (Bill) Ayers; David (Nancy) Ayers of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Edward (Jesse) Ayers of Cheyenne, Wyoming and many in-laws, cousins, nephews, and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
