Alma MillerApril 22, 1917 – February 8, 2012Alma Miller 94 of Longmont died February 8, 2012 at Longmont United Hospital. She was born April 22, 1917 to Bernhardt and Susanna (Landis) Nusz in Selby, South Dakota. On June 13, 1937 she married Rev. Robert J. Miller in Selby, South Dakota. He died September 13, 2002.Alma was an honorary member of Christ Congregational Church and an Associate member of the First Congregational Church. She loved collecting recipes, cooking and enjoyed spending time with her family. Alma was proud of her German heritage and frequently shared stories of her life growing up on a farm and living thru the Depression and Dust Bowl Eras. She enjoyed the mountains and lived for many years in Estes Park after her husband retired from the ministry.She is survived by daughters Sondra Hoff of Niwot and Susan Miles of Loveland; Grandchildren Kimberly and husband Bryon Sack of Westminster and Caprice Rushing of Niwot; Great Grandchildren Acayla, Sariah and Talisa Rushing of Niwot and Auston and Kara Sack of Westminster.She is preceded in death by her husband Rev. Robert J Miller, her parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and one grandson Derek Miles. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 13th followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Chapel. Interment Mountain View Cemetery.
