Mona Lobato

Mona Lobato, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted friend, passed away in Lakewood, Colorado, on December 27, 2025. Born the youngest of seven children, Mona’s life was marked by resilience, warmth, and an enduring love for music and dance.

Mona was a proud alumna of West High School. Her vibrant spirit and compassionate nature led her to a career at Martin Marietta in Jefferson County, where she met her beloved husband, Theodore Cororan. Their union was built on shared values and mutual respect, and together they cultivated a life filled with love and laughter.

Mona was the devoted mother of two children, Kim Mestas Cordova and Steven Mestas, and the proud grandmother and great-grandmother to Jordan Cordova-Kipp, Genesis Mestas-Cerros, and Delilah Cerros. Her family was the heart of her world, and she poured her soul into nurturing each generation with wisdom, humor, and unconditional love. She also shared a special love and bond with her cats- Bailey and Sadie.

Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the memories she created, each one a testament to her strength, kindness, and enduring spirit.
