Ronald Lee Short

1969 – 2026

Ron died at the age of 57 unexpectedly on August 26, 2026.

Ron lived in Colorado most of his life. He attended CSU and a majority of his career he worked in the computer industry. Early in life he enjoyed extreme bike riding until a fall off of Slick Rock in Moab that nearly took his life, but he continued to enjoy leisurely bike rides after the accident. Through out his life he had a passion for music and is self-taught at guitar and keyboard. He was an avid animal lover and owned several cats. His most beloved was Simitar the black cat. Later in life he fell in love with golfing. He even got a rare hole-in-one at Sunset Golf course. He also enjoyed spending time in his garden, putting in the effort of growing the hottest peppers he could.

Ron was born in Goodland, KS and was the son of the late Russell and Kay Short. He is survived by his brother Bryan Short (Heidi sister-in-law), sisters Lora DeMartine (David brother-in-law) and Linda Kahn, nephews Shelby Short and Joshua Kahn, niece Taja Short.
