Shirley Robles

Shirley Ann Robles, 82, passed away peacefully at her home on July 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Shirley was born on February 21, 1944, in Longmont, Colorado, to Frederick and Jennie Montour. She graduated from Longmont High School in 1962. On December 11, 1965, Shirley married the love of her life, Felix Robles. Together they shared over six decades of devoted marriage, building a life centered on love, commitment, faith, and family. Their marriage became the foundation for generations that followed.

Shirley worked for Ball Brothers in electronics before finishing her career at McLane Western in product returns and customer service. While she enjoyed her career, her favorite job of all was being the best wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, family member, and friend she could be. Shirley devoted her life to her family, creating a home where everyone felt welcomed, loved, and accepted. Shirley treasured time with her family. Whether celebrating holidays, gathering around the table, or simply enjoying each other's company, she found her greatest joy in watching her family grow. Her love, kindness, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion will continue to live on through each generation she helped shape.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Felix Robles; her daughter, Stacie (Robles) Svendsen and her husband, Scott; her son, Scott Robles and his wife, Danica; her brother, Frederick Montour; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and dear friends. Shirley was the cherished grandmother of Brittany, Elias, Sierra, Savannah, Serena, Marco, and Samantha, and the cherished great-grandmother of John, Isabella, Leanna, Aubrey, Xander, Maddix, Reagan, Koralynn, Leighton, Seraphina, Lilah, and Lincoln.

To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she wasn't simply "Grandma." She was Grandma'ma—a name spoken with affection that became synonymous with unconditional love, warm hugs, a welcoming home, and a kitchen that was always filled with something delicious. Being Grandmama was one of her greatest joys, and the love she shared will continue to live on in every child and grandchild fortunate enough to know her. She was an exceptional cook, and her homemade tostadas, enchiladas, and green chile became family favorites that everyone looked forward to. If you were lucky enough to know Shirley, you knew you were always welcome at her table and always welcome in her home. Around her table, meals became memories, laughter was shared, and no one ever left hungry. Her greatest gift wasn't simply the meals she prepared, but the way she made everyone who entered her home feel like family.

Shirley's connection to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Longmont spanned her entire life. She was baptized, confirmed, and married there, and her family is grateful that her life will be celebrated there one final time with a Funeral Mass. Though her family grieves the loss of her physical presence, they find comfort in the countless memories she created and the example she set through a life filled with love, compassion, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

A viewing will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by the Rosary at Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Home in Longmont.

A Funeral Mass celebrating Shirley's life will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Longmont. Burial will immediately follow at Foothills Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Family and friends are then invited to a Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m. at the Longmont Moose Lodge.
