Wanda Hutson

Wanda Irene Hutson September 9, 1929 – November 24, 2014 Wanda Hutson, 85, of Greeley, CO passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 in Greeley, as a result of a long battle with health issues. Her family was by her side when she drifted off to be with the Lord. She was born to Glen and Lillie Leonard of Beaver City, NE on September 9, 1929. In 1927 they moved to Longmont then Mead. Wanda graduated from Mead High School. Wanda married Carl E. Hutson, Sr, in Longmont on September 28, 1949. Carl and Wanda lived in rural Longmont until 1972, when they moved to Loveland. Wanda retired from Kodak Colorado in 1991. Carl passed away in 1988 after years of poor health. In 1998, Wanda reunited with her high school boyfriend, Lloyd Stotts. For ten years, they traveled in the United States in their RV. The last six years they resided in Alamogordo, New Mexico until September when they moved to Greeley to be closer to family. Wanda is survived by her partner Lloyd Stotts; sons Carl “Ed” Hutson Jr.( Anne), John Hutson (Diane), Andrew Hutson (Linda); daughter, Judy Whaley (Max); seven grandchildren, Eddy Hutson (Maricris), Melissa Bowman (Ben), Jason Hutson (Heather), Jeff Hutson (Jenny), Dave Whaley, Heather Eldridge (Billy) and Maranda Hutson; twenty great grandchildren; six sisters, Orpha Jenson, Ruth Wetzel, Patty Milar (Orville), Delores “Dee” Drieth (Abe), JoAnn McMichaels, Marilyn Leonard. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Hutson, Sr, her parents, two brothers, Glen Leonard Jr, and Kenneth Leonard, and her second grandson Greg Hutson. Burial will be held at 2PM Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Foothill Gardens of Memories, Longmont, CO. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to a charity of your choice.
