William Smith Moore

William Smith Moore (“Bill Pete”), born September 16, 1943, of Longmont, Colorado, formerly of Holmes Beach, Florida, passed away at home on August 5, 2026.

He was born in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania and moved to Tampa, Florida as a teenager. He graduated from Chamberlain High School in 1961 and served in the U.S. Air Force. After the Air Force, he moved to Anna Maria Island, where he met Sharon Lee Duncan, and they married in 1968. Shortly after, they moved to Denver, Colorado, where Bill attended University of Colorado Boulder and pursued his career. Their two daughters, Alanna and Alyssa were born there. In 1982, they moved back to Holmes Beach. Sharon passed away in 1990. Bill moved back to Colorado in 2018.

He is survived by his daughters, Alanna (Zack) and Alyssa (Nate); three grandchildren, Ariana, Kalen, and Kyra; three fur-grandchildren, Dakota, Roxy, and Lavender; a brother, Louis; and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A private visitation was held in Longmont, Colorado. A celebration of life will be held in Holmes Beach, Florida, at a later date.
