Kingsport- Barbara Nelms, 65, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord early Thursday morning (May 23, 2019) following a brief illness. She was born in Hawkins County where she lived the majority of her life. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Belcher; a brother, Larry Belcher.
Barbara Nelms is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Nelms (Steve); a son, Scott Nelms; her mother, Marie Belcher; 3 grandchildren, Casey, Wesley, and Seth; a brother, Tony Belcher (Amy) along with several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday (May 25, 2019) at 2 p.m. at Depew’s Chapel Church Cemetery with Pastor David Salley, officiating. Her family will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m.
Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill is serving the Nelms family.
